Placed in the heart of Venice, between Rialto and San Marco Square, the Venezia Oriente Gallery, offers a big display of ancient pieces of oriental art. With the expertise she has acquired at experience over twenty years, the owner of the galley, Mrs. Lucia Zulo, has set up special exhibitions of oriental antiques all over Italy, particulary in Venice. Before the opening of the gallery, Mrs. Zurlo was for many years the curator of many and important exhibitions in the prestigious San Teodoro School in Venice. In the gallery there are excellent antiques like terracotta from Chinese exavations of the Han, Tang, Wei amd Ming periods; important collections of Japanese netsuke and okimono from the Meiji period; bronzes and stone sculptures from Gandhara, Birman and Khmer in Cambogia. These collections include a huge selection of forniture and furnishings coming from China, Tibet and other regions of south-west Asia.
